Corn grits (Polenta) is a corn product. It is first cooked, then dried and only then crushed. Corn grits is an excellent binder that is mainly composed of carbohydrates, and gives the bait hardness and a rubbery consistency and carries the aroma well. It is added to mixes from 10 to 30%.
